ASIA
Asia is the earth's largest and most populated continent. It is located in the Eastern and Northern Hemispheres and shares the continental landmass of Eurasia with Europe and the continental landmass of Afro-Eurasia with both Europe and Africa. It is bounded on the east by the Pacific Ocean, on the south by the Indian Ocean, and on the north by the Arctic Ocean. The border of Asia with Europe is an historical and cultural construct, as there is no clear physical and geographical separation between them.
Asia covers an area of 44,579,000 square kilometres, approximately 30% of Earth's total land area. Asia is not only the home of the majority of the human population, it is the site of many of the first civilisations. (source: Wikipedia)
Many countries in the South-East Asian region are our closest neighbours, and an easy eight-hour flight from Melbourne may end in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, or Japan. Over the years, we have visited a number of Asian countries. Click the links below for our stories.
